With the success of Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy, director Maruthi has proved to a bankable filmmaker, not someone who only specialises in risqué dialogues and double meaning jokes.
“No one expected the film to do so well. It has already crossed Rs 25 crore and is one of the good hits this year,” says a source.
It is now being said that Venkatesh is all set to work with Maruthi. “They were supposed to work in a film earlier, but it was shelved after the launch due to some unknown reasons. Now, both have decided to work together for another subject and Venkatesh is interested to work with him,” says the source.
“The producers of Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy have asked Maruthi to take the overseas distribution rights as his remuneration. It is nearly Rs 50 lakh and to everyone’s surprise, it did nearly Rs 8 crore of business there. So Maruthi too will make some money,” adds the source.
