It was after a long hiatus that Nayanthara returned back to Malayalam with Bhaskar the Rascal alongside Mammooty and the audience rolled out the welcome mat for her. Director A.K. Sajan managed to rope Nayanthara back to Malayalam once again with his untitled project, again opposite Mammooty.
The big news is that Nayanthara will be playing a role that she has never donned before. She will be playing the role of a Kathakali artiste named Vasuki who is a Brahmin woman from a poor background. Confirming the role Sajan says, “She has been learning Kathakali because there will be kathakali sequences in the film. This is a role that she has never played.”
The film has Mammooty playing a family advocate Louis Pothen and also has producer Alwin Antony’s daughter Ananya playing the couple’s daughter. Renowned scenarist S.N. Swamy plays a role in the film as Mammooty’s neighbour who has no relatives. A source also adds that Swamy’s first shot in the movie was given the clap by his son Sivaram.
