Actress will be seen in upcoming films like Singh is Bling,Azhar and Fitoor

The film may be called Singh is Bling, but Lara Dutta’s role in it is far from glamorous. For once, the actress is glad that it’s that way. “I play Imli, a translator with no fashion sense. It was quite a relief to go de-glam actually. I like to dress up otherwise like most other women, but this was a welcome change — I didn’t have to worry about how I was looking all the time.”The actress also stars in the Azharuddin biopic Azhar and Fitoor, starring Katrina and Aditya Roy Kapur. “I play a lawyer in Azhar but my character is fictional, not based on anyone in particular. Fitoor is another beautiful film and it doesn’t matter to me whether or not I’m the lead.
After a point you just want to be a better actor, not prove a point.”In a way, Lara is also making a comeback after a long sabbatical, thanks to her maternal duties. How does she balance motherhood and shoots? “It isn’t easy, but Saira is a sorted baby. She’s been travelling with Mahesh and me since she was born. She has travelled to Wimbledon and now to my shoots. She just finds her space everywhere.”
