CIO- 100 Award was started in the USA

Visakhapatnam: For the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in Information Technology (IT) shown during the year, RINL, the corporate entity of Vizag Steel Plant was conferred with CIO-100 Award and its Chief Information Officer (CIO) KVSS Rajeswara Rao, General Manager (IT) received it on RINL’s behalf.
The award was instituted by International Data Group (IDG), the largest technology media, events and Research Company in the world to honour 100 companies that demonstrate excellence and achievement in Information Technology.
This year, the Tenth Annual CIO Symposium and Awards Ceremony was held in Pune of Maharashtra organized by CIO magazine and it selected India’s top CIOs (Chief Information Officers) and IT leaders from leading Indian organisations for being versatile with their IT deployments in difficult economic conditions. IDG India’s President and CEO, Louis D’Mello gave away the awards at a grand ceremony.
CMD of RINL P. Madhusudan and director (Opera-tions) of RINL D.N. Rao congratulated K.V.S.S. Rajeswara Rao and his team for the achievement. Mr Madhusudan said that the award reflects the company’s commitment to excellence in all spheres of information technology operations.
International Data Group (IDG) is the largest technology media, events and research company in the world with a presence in more than 90 countries. Considered as the “Oscars of the IT Industry”, CIO-100 awards are the most sought-after recognition and its winners represent the crème de la crème of enterprise IT leaders.
