Indrani returned from London just a day before Sheena’s murder

Khar Police uncover new details in Sheena Bora murder case

Mumbai: The Khar Police has uncovered new details in the Sheena Bora murder case during the interrogation of Indrani Mukerjea. The police has learnt that Indrani had returned to Mumbai from London just a day before Sheena was murdered according to a report on Midday.

This means that Indrani arrived in Mumbai on April 23rd and had only 24 hours to plan Sheena’s murder with her driver. Her ex-husband who is co-accused in the case arrived in the city on the 24th of April and the trio allegedly carried out the heinous crime.

Indrani and her husband Peter were living together in London, along with Vidhie who is Indrani’s daughter from her second marriage. The police said that Indrani cited a business meet as the reason for her early return to India sans her husband.

The Khar Police grilled Peter Mukerjea for over 12 hours on Wednesday in connection with the case. The police had also searched his flat and recovered a laptop, printer and some documents.

The couple were planning to re-enter the media business and had discussed starting a new TV channel but did not have the capital to go ahead with it. Peter is a former media tycoon who was the chief of Star India. He later went on to start 9X Media group with Indrani.

Peter's wife Indrani was arrested on August 25 for the alleged murder of her and Siddhartha Das's daughter Sheena.
