We always fought for state’s interest: N Chandrababu Naidu

He said that TD always fought to protect the state’s interests
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that the YSRC wants to join the NDA if his party comes out of the Union Cabinet protesting the denial of special category status to AP.
He was reacting to the demand of Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in the Assembly on Monday that the TD should withdraw its ministers from the Union Cabinet.
Mr Naidu said that TD was not after power and added that when the party had 29 MPs it did not join the NDA government in the past. He said that TD always fought to protect the state’s interests without any compromise.
He said that he had participated in an indefinite hunger strike for eight days in Delhi demanding the UPA government do equal justice to both AP and Telangana before state bifurcation.
Earlier Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had demanded that the government pass a resolution in the Assembly requesting the Centre to grant special category status and added that the TD should withdraw its ministers from the Union Cabinet and this will strengthen the Assembly resolution on special category status.
