‘Psycho Syringe’ continues to terrorise in Andhra Pradesh

Victims claim that the injection causes drowsiness

Kakinada: The ‘Psycho Syringe’ is still terrorising the people in West Godavari district and with two cases being repo-rted on Sunday, the number of victims rose to 16.

A case was reported that a three-year-old girl was attacked by the psycho at Muthyalammapalli in Mo-galturu mandal in West Godavari district.

According to the parents of the girl, a psycho administered injection to their daughter while she was pillion riding along with their parents. They suspected three persons belonging to Chinamynavanilanka village in Narasapuram mandal and complained against them.

However, after interrogation, the incident proved to be false and the three persons were released.

In another incident, the psycho attacked a person, Kondapalli Brahmaji, 30, of Jetlapalem village in Pentapadu mandal on Sunday evening. He was admitted in area hospital at Tadepalligudem for treatment.

“Brahmaji was drunk and we can't believe that he was attacked by the psycho, said Narasapuram DSP P. Soumya Latha. She said that 11 true cases were reported up to Augu-st 26. Later, reported cases have been proved false.

However, the people in Narasapuram division in West Godavari district are in the grip of panic due to attacks by the psycho.

Meanwhile, the police under Narasapuram division are conducting searches in nearly 360 villages to find the black colour combination motorcycle used by the psycho. Sources said that the police found 290 such vehicles under the division.

The police are also conducting searches at medical shops and instructed the medical shop owners not to sell syringes without doctors’ prescription.

Meanwhile, Amalapuram division police held a special campaign in the villages and towns in Konaseema and alerted the people on the psycho.
