KOCHI: Activists belonging to the RSS are engaged in the targeted killing of CPM workers with the connivance of the state government, CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan told reporters here on Saturday.
“The UDF government is encouraging the RSS to kill CPM cadres. The police is not doing anything against the RSS,” he said.
The attitude of the police is helping the criminals, he said. The CPM leader alleged that the government is withdrawing cases in which RSS workers are the accused while implicating CPM cadres in false cases.
“The government’s policy has resulted in the collapse of law and order in the state,” Kodiyeri said. “Oommen Chandy is engaged in gaining a place in the good book of (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi,” he added.
Kodiyeri alleged that 28 CPM cadres were killed in the state after the UDF government came to power. Of them, 17 were killed by the RSS, he said. Apart from CPM cadres, three Congress activists and a Janata Dal activist were also killed in the state in political violence, he said.
