Blame game begins

Ravi Teja and his producer are blaming the director

Ravi Teja’s Kick 2 has been declared a flop. It is reported that Ravi Teja blames the director Surender Reddy for not coming up with an entertaining second half. The film, which was budgeted at around Rs 25 crore, went over budget and cost nearly Rs 40 crore. The makers erected a huge set of a Rajasthan street at Rajendranagar, which itself cost nearly Rs 5 crore. Producer Nandamuri Kalyan Ram believed in the director and pumped in more money. Moreover, the film was supposed to release in March this year, but released in August. This too cost the producers. Now, it is reported that the producer too blames the director for the debacle. “The producer wanted to change the second half a bit, but the director declined,” says a source. The source adds, when they are making the movie, the makers and the actor know how it is going, so why blame somebody now?
