Chennai Swamiji performs puja to ward off threat from enemy nations

The puja also symbolised the need for the countrymen to remain united to protect the country
Chennai: Sometimes with hawkish neighbours attempting to derail peace in the country, divine intervention could also help. As if to demonstrate this, Paramahamsa Sri Bharadwaj Swamiji of Yoha Maya Sri Bhuvaneswari Peetam, Ambattur, here conducted a unique Prathyangira Devi puja in Delhi for the benefit of India and Union home minister Rajnath Singh.
The Swamiji who personally conducted the Sri Prathyangira Avarna puja for about four hours at Noida near the national capital to protect the national from “enemy” nations that are bent on crippling India and for the wellbeing of the countrymen. “The home minister is responsible for protecting the country and it becomes difficult for him if trouble from across the borders torment our people. Hence, I have decided to perform the puja,” the Swamiji said. He even presented arudraksha bead mala and prasadam to Rajnath Singh on Monday in New Delhi.
“Goddess Prathyangira Devi who calmed Narasimha (an incarnation of Lord Vishnu) after he tore up the demon king Hiranyakashipu, is capable of removing the negative effects in the mind, curing illness, protecting the devotees from enemies, diseases and misfortune,” he explained. Divine intervention is vital for mortals to overcome problems, he said and added that the Goddess originated from Lord Shiva’s third eye and is a combination of lion and human forms symbolising the balance between good and evil.
The puja also symbolised the need for the countrymen to remain united to protect the country and to make India a superpower, the Paramahamsa added.
