Ongole: Minister for transport Siddha Raghava Rao on Sunday urged the people to draw inspiration from Andhra Kesari Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu and reminded that the state government declared his birth anniversary as state festival and issued a GO to celebrate it in a big way.
He addressed a meeting held in connection with Tanguturi's 144th birth anniversary celebrations held in D.R.R.M. School here on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, he reminded the role played by him in the freedom movement.
He had also assured that he would develop Prakasam Pantulu's native village Vinodarayunipalem under Naguluppalapadu mandal as tourist place and develop the village.
Advisor to the government Parakala Prabhakar said the government declared Prakasam Pantulu's birth anniversary as state government's festival to celebrate it in a big way. He said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu drew inspiration from Prakasam and took up various development works in the state and added CM was trying to get investments from various countries for the development of the state. Earlier, they garlanded the Prakasam Pantulu statue at the Collectorate.
