This wedding cake is the perfect mix of the geeky and tradition

UK couple Kia Parsons and Billy Bunning wanted a wedding cake that reflected both their personalities. Parsons wanted something traditional while her fiancé hoped for a superhero-theme. So, they both reached the perfect compromise.

Julia Baker of Tier by Tier cake design created the awesome wedding cake, which had traditional flowers and white frosting on the front and the logos of Marvel and DC Comics heroes like Captain America, Spiderman, Iron Man and Batman at the back.

It took Baker a total of 40 hours preparing the cake – 12 hours to make the sugar flowers while the cake-baking and building took about 28 hours.

Inspired by the incredible response the ‘superhero in disguise’ wedding cake got when its picture went viral on social media, Baker plans to work on more such cakes in the near future, as reported by The Huffington Post.
