Inspections on in Karimnagar before Telangana CM’s visit

Social security pensions and food cards were given to the eligible residents

Karimnagar: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will arrive to Karimnagar on the evening of August 23 in order to participate in a slew of programmes scheduled to be held in Chinna Mulkanoor village on August 24.

He had adopted the village and announced that he would take part in Shramadanam in the village and dine with its residents. District collector Neetu Prasad on Saturday inspected arrangements made for the Chief Minister’s visit to Chinna Mulkanoor. She visited the village and reviewed various arrangements with officials concerned.

She advised people to participate in cleanliness drive to be taken up on Monday. Tractors, crowbars and other equipment used for clearing garbage were arranged in all the wards of the village. Ms. Prasad stated that 70 houses were identified to be in dilapidated condition.

Social security pensions and food cards were given to the eligible residents. Officials will tour the village and identify key challenges on Sunday ahead of Mr. Rao’s programme. Special officers were deputed to oversee proper implementation of welfare schemes and developmental programmes, she added.
