Vijayawada/Hyderabad: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is likely to discuss the issue of land acquisition for AP’s new capital with actor-politician Pawan Kalyan in the next two days.
The issue has gained significance after Mr Kalyan has made his opposition to the land acquisition decision public after the state government initiated the process. According to sources, Mr Naidu has decided to discuss the issue with the Jana Sena chief to temper down the controversy. Mr Naidu has also asked TD leaders not to publicly criticise Mr Kalyan over his stand on the land acquisition issue.
Mr Kalyan is due to tour the capital region villages in the next two days and interact with farmers opposing the land acquisition process. On Saturday, Mr Naidu instructed his Cabinet colleagues and party leaders not to make any harsh statements against Mr Kalyan.
