The number of appearances Amitabh Bachchan makes for brand endorsement-related events is more than any other actor in this country. The megastar also ends up working on three to four films a year, be it a full-fledged role or a guest appearance or voiceovers. There seems to be no stopping the man, and of late, this has become a cause of concern for his family.
A source close to the family told this paper, “There are so many offers that are coming Mr Bachchan’s way and in his head, he is always chalking out plans to take them all. Then there are also appearance requests from around the world, which he likes to entertain. As of now, he has given a tentative nod to a couple of films but their dates have been put on hold.” This is because Abhishek Bachchan has been asking his father to slow down due to health reasons, we hear. Big B is particular about his health check-ups but he is known to run himself like a machine. He is also very active on social media and stays up late nights while compromising on his sleep hours, the friend adds.
There were reports about him going to Kerala for a long schedule for Sujoy Ghosh’s next. However, his team members have not even been informed about this shoot, so no dates have been locked. Another important member of the Bachchan team on condition of anonymity, said, “He works round the clock and feels like a debutant even today. His family members have raised a very valid point. Health is a concern for him but let’s see if Mr Bachchan decides to go full throttle or slow down. He will have the final say.”
