Will jail all KCR critics, says Talasani Srinivas warning Opposition

Minister accused Opposition parties of obstructing the development of Telangana

Hyderabad: Commercial taxes minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Thursday threatened leaders of Opposition parties with jail if they continued to oppose the decisions taken by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and if they tried to stall the development programmes initiated by the Telangana government.

“The government will no longer tolerate such mindless criticism against the CM. All those trying to tarnish the image of the TRS government will be sent to jail,” Mr Yadav remarked.

He warned them that the state would expose their misdeeds before the public in the forthcoming Assembly session. He added that he was ready to face the Sanathnagar Assembly by-poll whenever it was held and he would win by a comfortable majority.

Addressing a press conference in Secretariat, the minister accused Opposition parties of obstructing the development of Telangana by opposing redesigning of the Pranahita-Chevella project, shifting of Osmania General Hospital and Secretariat etc. without any valid reasons.

He alleged that both the TD and Congress governments earlier had looted TS in undivided AP and it was the TRS government which was committed for the overall development of new state.
