Jeevan pins his hopes on Adhibar

He says that the director has been inspired by a true life incident
Jeevan, who made heads turn with his stylish villainous turn in Gautham Menon’s Kakkha Kakkha, is back with Adhibar after a sabbatical. “I was waiting to make a comeback with a strong script that was still totally commercial, when Suryaprakash approached me with Adhibar. Without wasting time, I gave the go ahead. It is about a guy Shiva played by me who returns to India, and how he is cheated by his own friend.”
He says that the director has been inspired by a true life incident, and several people would have gone through something similar in their lives. “The movie deals with real-estate fraud and land mafia,” the actor says. Though Jeevan is known for his anti-hero roles, in Adhibar he essays a principled man who does not compromise.
Quiz him about any efforts he is making to change his image, and he replies, “There’s negativity in each person and one cannot be 100 per cent good even in real life. I am trying to portray various characters that come my way. I had decided long back that I will not accept only baddie roles anymore.”
Asked if whether he would reconsider his decision if Gautham approaches him with a role like the one Arun Vijay did in Yennai Arindhaal, he says, “If there’s an apt character for me, Gautham sir will definitely call me.” He also asserts that efforts are being made to bring his jinxed project Krishna Leelai to cinema halls.
