Asaduddin Owaisi denied permission to hold meet in Shivaji Nagar

The party will field 40 candidates in the coming elections to the BBMP council
BENGALURU: The city police denied permission for All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) to organise a public meeting here on Tuesday. Party president Asaduddin Owaisi was expected to take part in the meeting to be held in Shivaji Nagar.
AIMIM representative Ahmed Bin Abdulla Balala said the party has legitimate right to hold a public meeting as part of its BBMP election campaign. The party would contest it before the court and State Election Commission.
To field 40 candidates AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday announced that the party will field 40 candidates in the coming elections to the BBMP council.
