Gram Panchayat can draw up their own five year plan, prioritise developmental works and judiciously spend funds

Hyderabad: Calling TRS government a “people’s government”, IT and panchayat raj minister K.T. Rama Rao said that the proposed Grama Jyothy programme would radically improve the development in villages.
“Gram Panchayat can draw up their own five year plan, prioritise developmental works and judiciously spend funds. They will decide what they need. Sarpanch, MPTC, ZPTC and Grama Sabha will chalk out need based plans for the village development,” he remarked.
The minister said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao would launch the Grama Jyothi programme on August 17.
