Hyderabad: Maruti Suzuki on Friday launched its premium cross-over S-Cross in Hyderabad. This is the first model from the Maruti Suzuki stable, which will be sold through its new and premium sales channel Nexa, said a top official from the company. “Hyderabad and the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have always supported Mar-uti Suzuki and with S-Cross are offering more options for our customers,” said executive director, marketing & sales R.S. Kalsi, after launching the vehicle in Hyderabad.
The vehicle will come in two variants — DDiS 320 and DDiS 200 priced in the range of Rs 8.3 lakh and Rs 14.4 lakh (ex-showroom Hyderabad). Speaking about the demand for the vehicle, Mr Kalsi said that the company had received 36,000 inquiries just one month before the launch. In his address to shareholders in the company’s annual report for 2014-15, the company’s chairman R.C. Bhargava said that Maruti Suzuki will have a “high number of new model launches” in this fiscal, including a compact SUV.
