Apoorva Lakhia is on a high these days — literally. The director has been training to be a solo skydiver in Thailand. Says a pumped up Lakhia, “I am getting my skydiving A-levels certificate. Which means I can alone jump off a plane from 13,000 feet. I have passed the AFF (Accelerated Freefall) and made eight solo jumps so far. You open your parachute when you’re 5,500 feet above the ground and float while you see the world.”
He describes the experience as the ‘most awesome’ one he has had yet. “To be thousands of feet above ground in the sky is a feeling beyond description.It makes you feel like a speck in the universe. The experience beats filmmaking any day.”
