Hyderabad: Facebook love turns sour, man arrested, released on bail

Hyderabad: A woman was cheated by a man who was introduced to her through social network site Facebook. According to sources, Dhanunjay sent a friend request to Sujatha, 21, (name changed), working in the film industry as a junior artiste. She accepted the friend request from Dhanunjay.

In the meantime, they got close to each other while chatting on the site and got married. Sujatha got pregnant and was admitted in a private hospital. Allegedly, Dhanunjay asked the hospital staff to perform an abortion and paid them. After this, he disappeared. Sujatha realised that she was cheated by the man and began inquiring about his whereabouts.

The victim with the help of All India Democratic Women’s Association leaders approached the Nizamabad superintendent of polcie and registered a case. Armoor station house officer K. Ravi Kumar said the accused was arrested and released on bail.
