City’s Pandit Nehru Bus Station (PNBS) is being renovated

VIJAYAWADA: City’s Pandit Nehru Bus Station (PNBS) is being renovated keeping in view the facilities required by the RTC employees. Post bifurcation, RTC is taking first such step for the RTC employees.
N. Sambasiva Rao, RTC MD, who was in the city on Monday, inspected the ongoing works at the PNBS old bus pass section and interacted with the officials regarding the plans and estimations on the works.
“The VC & MD’s office will be located on the first floor, close to the area where bus passes were issued earlier. RTC administration office and camp office will be inaugurated on August 15. The administration will be started from Vijayawada soon after all the works completes,” said the regional manager P.V. Rama Rao, when contacted.
While interacting with the officials, Mr Rao stressed on passenger amenities, creating the right kind of ambience and identifying cleanliness as a thrust area. It is also learnt that the MD was happy with the works completed so far and directed all officials to do the same for the corporation patrons by completing all the pending works in platforms.
