VS Achuthanandan write to CM Oommen Chandy against Pillai in Valakom Headmistress Case

He also alleged that a false charge of fake qualification was being made against Krishna Kumar and a memo served to him

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V. S. Achuthanandan has sought the urgent intervention of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy into the reluctance of the aided school in Valakom run by Kerala Congress (B) leader R Balakrishna Pillai to revoke suspension of headmistress K.R. Geetha, despite a court directive.

Incidentally, the Opposition leader's move against Pillai came at a time when the Kerala Congress (B), which severed ties with the UDF, was trying to join the LDF.

In a letter sent to the Chief Minister, the Opposition leader said that though the High Court had ordered that Geetha should be reinstated as headmistress of RVV High School, the school manager Mr. Pillai was not revoking the suspension.

Achuthanandan also accused Pillai of misusing his political clout to harass the teacher and her husband Krishna Kumar, also a teacher in the same school, who suffered a mysterious attack earlier.

He also alleged that a false charge of fake qualification was being made against Krishna Kumar and a memo served to him.

An urgent intervention of the Chief Minister into the matter was required, Achuthanandan demanded.
