Veteran character artiste, director and script writer Vinu Chakravarthy has been admitted to a private hospital in the city after he suddenly fell unconscious recently. According to close sources, Vinu was ailing for the past few months suffering from high blood pressure combined with diabetes which led to his current condition. He was rushed to a private hospital where doctors are giving him the necessary treatment. The actor is in the intensive care unit and his condition is slightly better, a hospital source said. Actor Vijayakanth visited the ailing actor at the hospital on Saturday.
Vinu has worked in more than 1000 films in various languages, and has acted alongside of almost all top stars including Rajini and Kamal in the industry. The actor is also a part of Apoorva Mahan, starring Thalaivasal Vijay, which is based on the life and times of Shirdi Sai Baba.
