Chief Justice Ashok Bhushan seeks report from registrar

Judicial Registrar R. Suresh will file a report explaining the case details to the Chief Justice

Kochi: Close on the heels of an order issued by Justice Alexander Thomas to Chief Secretary Jiji Thomson to inquire into the conduct of cases by the Advocate-General's office, Chief Justice Ashok Bhushan has sought a report from the Judicial Registrar.

According to top sources, Judicial Registrar R. Suresh will file a report explaining the case details to the Chief Justice.

Earlier, the government pleaders had sought the CJ's intervention when Justice Alexander Thomas had orally observed that Advocate-General K.P. Dandapani's office should be wound up.

As many as five petitions are pending before the High Court seeking initiation of contempt of court proceedings against Minister K.C. Joseph who criticised Justice Alexander Thomas.
