Cute baby videos playing with their toys and pets always go instantly go viral. Adding to the list of cute videos, this clip doing the rounds of most social media networks has a small twist. The “baby” in question is not a human one but an adorable elephant calf.
This baby elephant was crossing the road to follow the rest of the herd when a flock of birds suddenly catches its attention. The calf completely forgets that it was supposed to cross the road and instead jumps and runs around to catch them. Watching the junior elephant springing about joyfully to keep up with the birds is bound to make any heart melt.
With its large fan-like ears flapping and tail wagging, the adorable newborn follows the low-flying swallows with innocent glee perhaps imagining flying like them just like most kids would want to. After scampering about for a few joy-filled moments, it decides to go back to the other side of the road, looking perhaps a tad bit disappointed that it couldn’t keep up with its newly found pals in the air.
You then get to see it finally coming back and crossing the road to follow Mama Elephant and the rest of the herd in the forest. Even then you can see the look of fascinated wonder on its face as it catches one longing glimpse of the birds before scurrying back to its mother. Definitely something to brighten up your day during those boring hours at work.
