After the furore on Anushka Sharma’s tweet for the demise of former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Rishi Kapoor managed to bag the prize for the most awkward tweet, again.
Wishing Huma Qureshi on her birthday, the actor posted a “weight shaming” joke, which infuriated loyal Huma fans. He posted a quote that read, “The more you weigh, the harder you are to kidnap. Stay safe, eat cake.”
But Rishi deleted the tweet and wrote, “Apology. It was my personal joke with Huma on her birthday. If people took umbrage to it and some abuse just for the sake, I retract the same.” (sic).
Meanwhile, Huma replied, “Thank you to one of my fave co-stars the ever amazing @chintskap for bday wishes and love.. Guys , it was a joke. take a chill pill yaar.” (sic).
