E. Padmanaban to conduct the election of office bearers of the South Indian Artistes Association (SIAA)

Chennai: The Madras high court on Tuesday appointed Justice E. Padmanaban, retired judge of the Madras high court, as election commissioner to conduct the election of office bearers of the South Indian Artistes Association (SIAA) and declare the results.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice T S Sivagnanam passed the order on an appeal filed by SIAA challenging the order of a single judge staying the notification of July 15 to conduct the election of office bearers of the association.
