Mister K inspired by true story

Sasank Voleti is making his debut as director with this film

Hyderabad: The Telugu film Mister K, based on a true story, was launched on Wednesday at a private studio in Hyderabad. Kaushik, known for playing the devotional Ayyappa character on TV, is playing a cop in this film, along with Sampath Reddy. Sasank Voleti is making his debut as director with this film.

Minister T. Harish Rao attended the launch as chief guest and appreciated the makers for making a film based on police officer Siddaiah, who had lost his life in an encounter.
“More filmmakers should come forward and make films based on reality. Telangana police are doing their job perfectly and putting in efforts to make a change in the society. Filmmakers should focus on the positive side of the police and come up with good films,” said Rao. He also praised Kaushik who is popular in the Malayalam industry.
“Our government will help for the development of Telugu cinema and also give subsidies. Hyderabad is the best for not only Telugu cinema, but also for Hindi film shootings,” added Rao.
D. Suresh Babu, president of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, attended as special guest.
“It’s an inspiring story and we all know how Siddaiah sacrificed his life for the country. There is a good message and it shows the importance of police and their integrity towards the country,” said Kaushik.
Actor and writer Posani Krishna Murali is playing Siddaiah’s character in the film. Though he didn’t have dates, he adjusted for this film because of the inspiring story.
