As all of us mourn the demise of A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Mollywood director Sohanlal shares some of his interactions with the great man. Sohanlal is directing a children’s film titled Ammamaram, which delves into environmental issues.
Speaking about his interaction with the scientist, Sohanlal says, “Ammamaram is basically a film to create awareness among the young generation about environmental concerns and since I know that the cause of the environment is very close to Kalam sir, I had contacted him online and through emails. He responded and in fact some of the advice that he shared with me have been incorporated in this film. I had also emailed him the film launch photos as well as the first-look posters of the film. Though I never met him directly, Kalam sir has given valuable advice for my film. It was my dream to invite him for the preview of my film and now that it will remain a dream, I will be dedicating my film as a tribute to his memory.”
