I’ve fallen in love thrice: Trisha

“I want to act with Nayanthara. We both share a great rapport offscreen,” says Trisha
Trisha is not perturbed when asked what went wrong between her and industrialist Varun Manian that resulted in the wedding being called off. She says with a smile, “It’s all over now and there’s no point in talking about the past. This too shall pass. Moreover, since family members from both the sides are involved, I cannot openly talk about the reasons for my jinxed marriage.”
However, she still believes in the institution of marriage. “I strongly believe in marriage, but I can’t get married for the heck of it. I need to find the right person. I have seen people who get married and later separate through divorce because of incompatibility. So, I am in no hurry.” Ask her about what she thinks of live-in relationships, she says, “That depends on an individual’s wish and decision”
The VTV actress says that there’s no life without love. “I have had my share of falling in love — it has happened thrice in my life,” she admits candidly.
Being an ardent dog lover, Trisha raises a voice for the canines on the street. She reacted sharply to the comments of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal on the issue of killing stray dogs. “It’s cruel to kill the stray dogs. Instead, one can put them in a safe place and sterilise them. There are more than 10 street dogs roaming around near my residence. I have made arrangements to put them under safe custody,” she asserts.
Reacting quickly to a rumour on her joining a political party, Trisha says, “I have only 40 per cent knowledge about politics. I wish I could understand it completely. Entering politics is not a bad idea. But this is not the right time for me to enter politics. I am still active with five films and good offers are underway. I still have time to think about politics.”
If given the option to choose a heroine to work with, who would she prefer? “I want to act with Nayanthara. We both share a great rapport offscreen. A few people have tried to bring us together but it did not materialise. Even Venkat Prabhu, with whom I collaborated in Mankatha keeps telling me that he wants to work with me and Nayan together.”
