Sujoy Ghosh, who is still basking in the success of his short film Ahalya, is ready to go on floors with his first feature film in three years. An adaptation of Keigo Huganshino’s Japanese novel called The Devotion Of Suspect X, the film will bring together on screen, for the first time, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Saif Ali Khan.
Says Sujoy, “My next film will star Aishwarya, Saif and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. I’ve worked with Nawaz in Kahaani and boy, has he come a long way! I have never worked with Aishwarya and Saif before, so looking forward to it.”
The director has put his other project Durga Rani Singh on the backburner for the moment. After Vidya Balan and Kangana Ranaut walked out of the project, Sujoy was unable to find the right leading lady. He says, “I will make Durga Rani later. Some things happen when they are meant to happen.”
