Virat Kohli to spice up tour game against Australia A

“We have a lot of respect for him,” said Stoinis

The spotlight will be on the mercurial Virat Kohli when India ‘A’ take on Australia ‘A’ in the second four-day match.

Kohli had made headline with both his batting and cantankerous on-field behavior during the Test series against Australia.

He had quite a few altercations and even complained that the Aussies had called him “a spoilt brat.”

All-rounder Marcus Stoinis said Kohli’s presence may spice up the tour match as the Aussies are excited about playing against a “great batsman”.

“I am not sure what to expect. It’s going to be good test for us. I don’t think it will get too spicy. But who knows? Once you get on to the field and play in 40 degree heat, you may not even know what you are saying. Kohli is a competitive person and we are a competitive team. We have a lot of respect for him,” said Stoinis.
