Vadavalli police dump seized vehicles on roadside

They dumped all the seized vehicles in front of the house due to lack of space
Coimbatore: Two-wheelers, an autorickshaw and a jeep seized by the Vadavali police have been dumped callously on the roadside, in front of a private house at Mullai Nagar in Coimbatore.
“Without my permission, they have dumped the vehicles in front my house,” sighs the house owner, M.A. Kannan, who runs a small scale business in Mullai Nagar. As many as 10 bikes have been stationed in front of his house and a jeep and an old autorickshaw have been dumped behind his house. However, the house owner is too scared to file a complaint with the police.
“A couple of months ago, I found a few bikes parked under a tree in front of my house. After a few days, I found a few more vehicles added to the vehicle heap. Then I came to know that all these were vehicles seized by the police,” he said.
When the Vadavalli police station was shifted to Thondamuthur road near Maharani Avenue, the police piled up all the seized vehicles in front of Kannan’s house. Curiously, Kannan’s house comes under the B-2 R.S.Puram police limit and not the Vadavalli police jurisdiction. When contacted, the Vadavalli police admitted that they had dumped all the seized vehicles in front of the house due to lack of space.
