Hyderabad High Court wants to see Prathyusha

Court to secure her future, asks TS to help her
Hyderabad: A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale and Justice S.V. Bhatt of the Hyderabad High Court on Friday directed the Telangana government to produce Pratyusha before it on Monday. The 19-year-old girl was rescued from her stepmother and father on July 8 in the city.
The bench was dealing with a case based on a letter by Justice Challa Kodanda Ram of the High Court seeking the court's intervention to render justice to the girl. The bench said that it will talk to the girl in the chamber to ascertain her views.
The government's special counsel S. Sharath Kumar submitted before the bench that doctors had opined that the girl is medically fit to be discharged from hospital.
Counsel appeared before the bench along with girl’s maternal uncle and aunt and said that the girl’s father has a monthly income of Rs 90,000 and he owns a house at LB Nagar.
Hero construction stalled for now
Justice P.V. Sanjay Kumar has stayed construction on the site allotted to Hero Motor Corp in Madannapalem near Sri City SEZ in Chittoor district. The judge was dealing with a petition by Ishwariya Orchards and Plantations represented by Kishanlal claiming ownership of the 600 acres allotted to Hero Motors by the AP government. The petitioner contended that the land belongs to him and the state allotted the landillegally. The judge ordered the authorities and Hero Motors to maintain status quo and posted the case to July 21.
JNTU told to fill armed forces quota
Justice A.V. Sesha Sai on Friday directed the JNTU, Hyderabad to fill engineering seats under the Children of Armed Personnel (CAP) category without reference to recent GO issued regarding the residence of ex-servicemen.
Gujjula Lalitha and 11 others moved a plea challenging a GO on certificate verification before web counselling. Challa Dhananjaya, counsel appearing for the petitioners, said the bench had declared that the address given by the serviceman at the time of retirement and the district sainik board in which he is registered is the basis for deciding the place of residence.
While suspending operation of the GO, the judge directed the authorities to allot seats to the students without reference to the GO.
Telangana decides to adopt Prathyusha
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced that TS government will take care of Prathyusha. Mr Rao and his wife Shobha will visit her on Saturday and a decision to adopt her will be taken. The HC will also be informed. Earlier, TD leader Nara Lokesh said the TD Trust would extend help to her.
