Dr Anbumani said that people are looking for a change after 50 years of Dravidian party rule

Chennai: PMK’s chief ministerial candidate Dr Anbumani Ramadoss on Wednesday expressed his desire to take part in a public debate on television with all CM candidates for the ensuing state Assembly election like in the presidential elections for United States of America.

“Like in the US, I am looking for a live TV debate. I am looking forward for a debate with all the CM candidates. And it is for people to decide who is best and who they want,” Dr Ramadoss said after launching his website www.anbumani4cm.com here.

Dr Anbumani said that after 50 years of Dravidian party rule in the state, people are looking forward for a change. “They want a whiff of fresh air and they want something new. We will be able to provide the change. Like our campaign which is something new – change and progress,” he said.

When asked about its ally BJP’s accusation that PMK has copied its slogan ‘change and progress’, Anbumani wondered whether they had got a patent for the words change and progress. “Let them criticise it. We are using the slogan to convey our message to the public,” he said, pointing out that US President Barrack Obama’s campaign slogan ‘change’.
