I haven’t been this excited in a long time: Vishakha Singh

Actress Vishakha Singh, who was last seen in the Vimal-Priya Anand starrer Oru Oorla Rendu Raja in a cameo, is currently busy shooting a psychological horror film in Tamil, being shot in Munnar, Kerala.

She’s thrilled about being part of a heroine-centric project, “There are so many shades to this character and I haven’t been so excited in a long time! And it’s amazing that our director Mani, who’s making his debut, has not resorted to any vulgarity at a time when every other horror film in India is interlaced with sex and sleaze.”

On a lighter note, she adds, “Also I’m probably the only heroine who reeks of Odomos and shampoo! The first thing we do before we go on the sets is apply shampoo on our feet to keep us from leeches and Odomos to fight the mosquito menace.”

Vishakha also seems quite smitten with Kerala, where she’s shooting for the first time for a film. “It’s so beautiful here and our team goes out on long walks in the evening after the shoot. I’d love to keep coming back again and again. I’m also in love with the chakka (jackfruit) here.”

The actress also hopes to make her long-pending Malayalam debut film, when Rajesh Pillai’s Motorcycle Diaries, goes on floors soon.
