Time to get into the Story Mode

Just like all Telltale games, Minecraft: Story Mode will be episodic in nature and will come in five parts
Telltale Games have been busy these past few years with all of their current franchises — The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, Game of Thrones, Tales from the Borderlands and now Minecraft: Story Mode.
The decision to make such a game around Minecraft came as a bigger surprise since a linear narrative experience is the quite opposite of what Minecraft tries to accomplish and why it is so popular. Regardless, with the first ever trailer of Story Mode, it is clear that there is no developer better suited for this task.
The trailer shows fully voiced characters going on an adventure and is filled with instantly recognisable elements, creatures and landmarks from the game. Synonymous with the series, the main character is shown crafting his own sword and using it to fight a Creeper. There is an air of mystery around the story, that they are trying to tell, hinting at an adventure where main characters are running away from a calamity and are trying to save everyone in their homeland from oblivion. The main character, Jesse, and his group of friends journey to find The Order of the Stone, four adventurers who had previously slain an Ender Dragon. The trailer ends with this group of heroes creating a portal which leads to a hell-like dimension called The Nether.
Just like all Telltale games, Minecraft: Story Mode will be episodic in nature and will come in five parts. It will be coming out on all platforms, including iOS and Android, in 2015.
