Parents of Jayed protested in front of the school

Karimnagar: The physical education teacher of a private school in Jagtial town broke a student’s finger on Monday for attending classes without shoes.

Sources said a left hand finger of Jayed Nawab, a Class IV student of Gowtam Model School, was found broken when he was admitted to a hospital after the thrashing by physical education teacher Jaleel. Angered by the assault the parents of Jayed protested in front of the school.

They wanted the management to sack the PET for breaking the finger of their kid. They said they would bring the incident to the notice of the Mandal Education Officer and Deputy Educational Officer.

When contacted, B. Jaganmohan Reddy, the in-charge DEO of Jagtial said that he had not received any complaint. Jagtial inspector T. Karunakar Rao too said that no one had lodged a complaint.
