Actors resort to television only when their filmy career is almost over, according to popular opinion. But actress Mithra Kurian will now break this norm.
Mithra, who is a part of a television serial Priyasakhi that recently commenced on Zee TV, debuted in Kollywood with a Vijay-starrer movie Kaavalan.
The actress was also a part of the film Buddhanin Sirippil. Despite having done a few films in Tamil, she still finds time to do soaps!
She recently got hitched to her longtime beau William Francis and says that she is happy to be part of television as well. “I play the central character Dhivya around whom the story revolves. It is a very challenging role and not your usual run-of-the-mill character that sheds tears over frivolous issues. She is soft, yet assertive. The storyline is extremely positive and reinforces the fact that ‘What you give is what you get back’.” Mithra is simultaneously working in a Tamil film Nandanam and plans to take on a few Mollywood films.
