Eamcet engineering counselling from July 8, Telangana to Hyderabad High Court

Judge said the schedule for the counselling has already been notified
Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Friday told the Hyderabad High Court that it will commence Eamcet engineering counselling from July 8 instead of July 6. The government’s special counsel Mahender Reddy urged Justice A. Ramalingeswara to adjourn his decision on the petitions challenging the decision of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad in rejecting affiliation to certain colleges and also reducing seats in certain colleges to Monday. Forty college managements have approached the court challenging the JNTU decision.
He said the Telangana advocate general will appear in this matter on Monday to place facts before the court regarding the refusal to grant affiliation to certain colleges and reduction of seats. The judge said the schedule for the counselling has already been notified and as per schedule it will commence from July 6. If the government and the higher education department changes the schedule the court will adjourn the decision to Monday, otherwise the order will be pronounced on Friday. When the counsel agreed to postpone the counselling the judge adjourned the matter to Monday.
