Eighteen-year old Manish Vishkarma of Chidiya Ghar who suffered a near-fatal road accident last week, is now out of danger. According to the Chidiya Ghar producer Ashwini Dhir, who has been constantly monitoring Manish’s health, the boy is most likely to recover soon.
Previously there were reports of medical negligence, but Ashwini squashes these rumours. He says, “Manish was shifted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital on the very day of the accident. In the morning he was taken to the government hospital; when it is a police case, the victim has to be taken to one. Manish may not have received the best treatment there, but I can’t say since I wasn’t there. But we shifted him to one of the best hospitals in Mumbai and now he is showing signs of improvement.
He may be out of coma soon.” Ashwini admits the boy is more than just an actor for him. Getting emotional about Manish, Ashwini Dhir says, “I have watched Manish grow up. He is like a member of my family. We are all praying for his full recovery.”
