Panel confirms copying by IG TJ Jose

The report will be handed over to the MG University syndicate on July 4

Kottayam: The MG University sub-committee has concluded that Thrissur range IG T.J. Jose had indulged in copying at the LLM improvement examinations at the off-campus centre of the university in May.

The sub-committee, which inquired into the incident at St Paul’s College, Kalamassery, said that it had no evidence to negate the statement of the invigilator that Mr Jose was caught copying.

“The committee examined the claim by T.J. Jose that he hadn’t engaged in any malpractice. However, in the course of our inquiry, we did not find any evidence to support his claim,” said a source.

“We have got enough evidence to prove the charge of the invigilator,” the source added. The report will be handed over to the MG University syndicate on July 4.

The sub-committee consists of Prof P.H. Abdul Lathif, Prof Satheesh Kochuparampil, Dr N. Jayakumar, Mr P.K. Firoz, Dr K.V. Narayana Kurup, Dr P.V. Thomas and Dr N Vijaya Kumar.
