Telangana students to get PV Narasimha gyan

The Congress, voluntary organisations and district authorities offered floral tributes to the first Prime Minister from south India
Karimnagar : Rich tributes were paid to former Prime Minister, versatile politician and statesman P.V. Narasimha Rao on his 94th birth anniversary celebrations across the district on Sunday. Karimnagar MP B. Vinod Kumar and ZP chairperson Tula Uma garlanded the statue of Rao located on the premises of Karimnagar Milk Producers Company Limited (KMPCL), to mark the occasion. The Congress, voluntary organisations and district authorities offered floral tributes to the first Prime Minister from south India.
Hailing the former Prime Minister, Mr Vinod Kumar said that Rao had changed face of Indian economy by bringing in reforms when the country was facing a severe crisis. He alleged that the Congress ignored contributions of Mr Rao to the party. He stated that TRS-led government would incorporate a lesson on the ex-prime minister’s life and erect his statue on a junction in Karimnagar.
Tula Uma, too, recalled role of the former finance minister who later became Prime Minister. She stated that Rao played a vital role in strengthening Indian economy and introduced welfare policies. Rajeshwar Rao, chairman of the KMPCL was present.
DCC president K. Mruthyunjayam garlanded a portrait of P.V. Narasimha Rao in Husnabad mandal. He recollected services of Rao to the nation and party. DCC grievance cell chairman Gopala Kishan Rao said several land reforms were introduced by the former Prime Minister.
Members of Telangana Economics Forum (TEE), a voluntary organisation, also paid rich tributes to the 10th Prime Minister of India. The forum conducted a seminar titled Reforms of P.V—Implications on Telangana Development. N. Kanakaiah, president of TEE said that Rao introduced free education to students of ST community and set up Telugu Academy and fought against anarchy of Nizam rulers. DRO T. Veerabrahmaiah paid homage to the son of Telangana by garlanding his portrait. He referred to Rao as a multi-talented politician and father of economical reforms. He showered praises on Rao for his straightforwardness and command over multiple languages.
