Karan Johar lashes out at Twitterati for Gay trolls

The producer was 'disgusted' by people mocking the same-sex marriage judgement
Mumbai: Filmmaker Karan Johar known for his witty one-liners and humour, wasn’t too pleased with a few haters who tried mocking his sexuality following legalisation of same-sex marriages in the US.
The director and producer who recently made his acting debut in Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bombay Velvet’, wasn’t laughing when a user on micro-blogging site Twitter took a jibe at his sexuality with a post that read, "#Rumors : @KaranJohar to get married soon in USA."
Karan was quick to respond with a message that read, "It's so sad and disgusting when a major breakthrough movement is made into a mockery by some on Twitter!! Shame."
Even though the producer lashed out at the hater, it didn’t stop the tweets from coming.

These tweets came after the US Supreme Court passed a judgment on Friday ruling that same-sex marriage is a legal right across the country. Meanwhile, homosexuality remains illegal in India after the Supreme Court in 2013 upheld Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code.
Karan’s sexuality became the talking point in Bollywood recently when actors Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor joked about him being a closet homosexual during the controversial AIB Roast.
Some of the jokes that could have been down right offensive were:
“I'd like to thank the entire panel for coming out today and Karan for not.”
“Karan I feel like the only reason you would come out of the closet is if you heard that Jaya Bachchan was waiting outside with a thaali.”
“Karan you are exactly like the movies you make, you both have massive openings.”
