#Selfiewithdaughter trends worldwide on Twitter after Narendra Modi's appeal on 'Mann Ki Baat'
Mumbai: The hashtag #selfiewithdaughter started trending worldwide on Twitter on Sunday after Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to people about posting their photots with their daughters during his radio address ‘Mann ki Baat.’
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and BJP leader Kiran Bedi also posted their pictures on the micro blogging site along with their daughters.
"And here's my #SelfieWithDaughter. My Daughter, My Pride! #betibachaobetipadhao," Fadnavis tweeted.
Prime Minister Modi earlier in the ninth edition of his 'Mann Ki Baat 'programme today stressed on the campaign to save girls through the social media. During his 20-minutes speech, the Prime Minister mentioned about the 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' scheme aimed at saving the girl child.
