Coimbatore: The parents of a class 10 girl protested in front of CSI matriculation higher secondary school seeking action against six plus-2 boys who have allegedly been harassing her for the last one year.
The brother of the girl, Sheik Hamsudeen, told DC that the six boys studying plus-2 in the same school had been teasing the girl almost for a year. On Friday, matters turned worse when the boys started physically harassing her, by pulling her hands and teasing her.
The girl complained to her parents on Friday and they brought this to the notice of the management. “But there was no response from the management. Earlier the girl did not want to make a big issue and had let it go.
She was also of the fear that she would be removed from the school if she made an issue of the incident as it could tarnish the name of the school,” the girl’s brother said. A complaint has been lodged with the Race Course police station and the boys and their parents have been called to the station for an inquiry, he added.
