Juhi Chawla, who will soon be seen in Chalk N Duster, a film by her make-up artist Subhash, is smitten by her co-star and veteran actress Shabana Azmi. “This is the first time I have worked with Shabanaji.
I remember how taken she was by the script when she first read it. She even took the film’s designer out shopping, to source clothes for her character so that it stays true to the script. I always felt that I get too involved with a film at hand, but I have never looked into such details. Working with her has been a truly amazing experience.”
About her role she adds, “I play a teacher in the film. What drew me to it was its script. It is a very sweet and heartwarming story — one that makes you want to get up and clap in the end. I hope the audience respond the way I’ve imagined them to.”
