Pudukkottai: Dispelling impressions that the Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) was being totally soft towards the ruling AIADMK in Tamil Nadu, its leader G.K. Vasan said that his party will not hesitate to oppose the anti-people polices of both the state and Central governments.
Mr Vasan told newsmen here on Sunday that the Union government’s reported move to privatise the running of trains was highly condemnable. The Centre should give up any such move immediately, he said, adding, at best suggestions of private consultants could be sought to develop the Indian railway network.
Referring to the Tamil Nadu Health system project, Mr Vasan pointed out that in the last five years 8,000 employees have been working on a meager consolidated monthly pay and urged the state to regularise their services immediately.
